Hi there

I have been trying to optimise my website with my top keywords being web, design, development but I dont understand that even though I have crammed those words in, especially 'web' and mainly on the front page, google only see's the word 'design' in my top 100 words on google and words which i may have only used once in the site is getting put into the top 100? Have I overcooked the word 'web' and its seeing it as spam?

Secondly, I know I have external links going into my home page and google even lists 25 of them in the webmaster tools under 'links' but if I press the 'backlinks' button on my google bar when I am on my index page, it says i dont have any. Am I missing the point of backlinks?
