Over 2,500 students are gearing up to take part in the 'Blue Skies' Enterprise Roadshow, in a drive to encourage the next generation of business leaders and entrepreneurs.
The roadshow is organised by the Enterprise Education Trust and takes place twice a year across the country.
The students, aged between 14 and 19 will meet up with successful young entrepreneurs to encourage them to become more enterprising and consider entrepreneurialism as a viable career option.
Entrepreneurs taking part in the event include Louis Barnett, founder of Chokolit, which packages its Belgian chocolates in an edible box. Also involved is Ben Winston, founder of film and television production company Fulwell 73 and Ed Jones, founder of United Soccer Coaches, a football training programme.
David Millar, chief executive officer of the Enterprise Education Trust, said: “Starting your own business needs to be seen as exciting and as a realistic career option to engage with young people.
“By bringing students face to face with successful local young entrepreneurs they realise that it is possible and may just inspire our next Branson.”
The roadshow will be at the Odeon, The Printworks in Manchester from today until November 23 and the Showcase Cinema, Batley in Leeds on November 26-27.
