We have just gone live with a new service to allow consumers to request a brochure/catalogue via text message and get it delivered to their email address automatically, requiring no intervention from the information provider.

We are keen to get interested businesses on board for a low cost trial of the system to help us gather some usage stats so if you are involved in distributing information in any way then you could benefit from using this service.

By building text messaging into your existing contact acquisition portfolio, you will be exposing yourself to a wider market. Very often when people see or hear your adverts they are interested in the product but it just doesn't suit them at that particular time to send an email, surf to your site, or call to talk to you - with today's busy lifestyle, if the consumer can't react to an impulse immediately then more often than not the reaction never occurs. It is our belief that in most of these situations they would find the time to send off a quick text message and that is where text4more comes in.

We currently provide contact acquisition via text message, but new developments enable us to store an electronic copy of your catalogue or brochure, and deliver it upon receipt of a text message.

  • How does it work?
  • The user will read/hear something like 'For our e-catalogue text CAT to 07835 10 20 30'
  • When we receive a text with CAT in it we check to see if we have a record of an email address stored against the senders number
  • If not then we ask the sender to text in their email address - when they do this the address is stored so that any subsequent requests for an e-brochure from text4more can be sent out automatically
  • We dispatch the brochure, related to the CAT keyword, to the email address provided

We have set up a simple demonstration which you can try out - this demo is an example of what an estate agent/private house seller would use to send out electronic copies of a house brochure. For any interested in the costs, we normally have a monthly admin fee but for the purposes of the trial all that we will be charging for is the processing/sending of the texts and the transmission of the catalogues (charged per transmission, 15p for each Mb of the catalogue).
