I was wondering how many of you have had dealings with online credit card merchants
What are the most value for money when dealing with small amounts.
Is there anything like revecom or 2checkout in the UK? These are US based merchants who don't require a huge start-up fee.
I dpont like the idea of a large payment up front with no gurantee that they will accept my application.

Hi there,
we have always recommended that clients use paypal, as it is free to start up and you pay a nominal fee for every transaction.
I think as with most of these companies, you will find someone somewhere who has had a bad experience with one them (see my ramblings below), so it is best to have a look around, see who impresses you most (and offers, in your opinion, the best service/value for money) and then go for them.

Personally, I have had dealings with Worldpay, and they have not lived up to their word. They (in my opinion) gave one of our recent clients very shoddy service, and when our team tried to get in contact with them on the clients behalf, we either got voicemail all day / told that the person was not there or given a generic email address to send all questions to.... I was also annoyed by the fact that as soon as our client told the Worldpay person that they did not want to use their shopping cart (that came at a fee) they virtually stopped corresponding with us (the designers,) and were little if any help when we tried to sort some of the details out </worldpay rant> (Admin - remove if you think I am over-stepping the mark here!)
That being said, maybe it was a one-off, and we caught them on a bad quarter [
