Hello everyone,

Just testing the water really, was thinking of setting up a data analysis outfit for SME firms. I have seen “consultants” and “media agencies” (really) over charge for poor management information for ages and it really annoys me.

Having worked in Data analysis (various guises: client insight, scorecards, mail campaign analysis, web analytics etc) for years for med-large firms, this type of work can easily be done for smaller firms albeit with smaller data sets. i.e. Help SME understand their “future”, existing and exiting clients using statistics and common sense.

- How many people would find the analysis helpful?
For example;

Client insight/behaviour/segmentation
Market research /Findings
Retention activity (propensity)
Sales analysis
Database cleansing
Mailshot campaign analysis
Web analytics
Cost base analysis
Monthly business dashboard (traffic light reports)

- What would be easier
a) series of one off work,
b) monthly retainer (all in work load),
c) regular static reporting
d) managed service (live access to the d/b) with on the fly stuff + regular reports.

Any comments/feedback would be appreciated,

Thanks,
