I want to open up an office with 5 staff. What are the startup costs and how are they broken down? e.g. lawyers, furniture, PC's and other hidden costs. Estimates are fine. Just want to get a feel for how the costs are split up.
Thanks,
Jon

Jon,
Can't say I am any great authority but if you want a rent estimate then you really need an estimate of how much square footage you will use (which isn't easy)and whether you want it in a prime location or not. If you speak to your local council they will probably keep a list of commercial properties for rent and will give you an idea of what you could pay.
Also consider that you have to pay business rates on top of the rent, in my area they are set at 43% of the rent that you pay, I would find out what they are in your area.
As for anything else, I have't got a clue. Hope I have been a bit of use.
