Businesses looking for a bit of help turning their marketing endeavours into savvy PR campaigns can benefit from a media workshop at the British Library.
Have You Got News for Us? is a specially designed workshop for small firms on DIY public relations, run by enterprise PR specialist Louise Third and business correspondent Maisha Frost.
“Effective PR is all in the preparation”, said Third, author of PR on a Beermat. “Simple things which make small firms media-friendly include writing your business start-up story, developing opinions based on experience and having a high-quality head and shoulders colour photo handy. Then you are ready to call those editors and tell them what you are doing.”
The workshop takes place on September 24 at the Business & IP Centre, British Library.
Startups readers are being offered a special discounted rate. Book before September 19 and the second place is half-price.
