Hi there!
This is a question mainly for the editors of this forum, but it may benefit the users of it. Sorry if I'm thick and it's written somewhere else clearly obvious but I'm sure there are more out there like me... Here the question:
I'm just about to finish writing my first Press Release, and now I wonder how I will get it into the sites that are for and about startups, mainly startups.co.uk of course!
Thanks for the help

Your best bet would be to post it onto Press box (free service)www.pressbox.co.uk You know it will be used and seen by media as well as potential customers.
I've used this site a few times myself and it does generate a decent response.
If you intend to send your release out directly to editors of various publications, make sure it's directed to the appropriate person otherwise it will just end up in the bin.
Also make sure your spelling and punctuation is spot
on and that your opening paragraph is attention grabbing.
If it's not they won't read on.
If you need any help or advice let me know.
Good luck!

Hi
Another website alternatives - if you haven't come across them already - are www.holdthefrontpage.co.uk (local/regional newspapers) and www.journalism.co.uk. (they have online addresses for all sorts of periodicals) Hope these are useful - good luck!

Caroline,
I have tried to contact you by phone today but there is no reply, we have a training company client who is dealing with a new product launch and wants some PR advice. They want to launch in the next 6 weeks, can you phone me PM or tomorrow before 12?
