Following his success in resolving kitchen nightmares, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is hoping to foment business dreams.

The business turnaround guru will join a team of experts and co-entrepreneurs later this year to host Destination Growth, organised by the East of England Development Agency (EEDA).

The free event will provide budding and established entrepreneurs with the insight they need to get their business ideas off the ground or improve existing firms.

Organisers will allow participants to pick and choose from various seminars and workshops in order to modify the event into a programme that works best toward their firms' goals.

In addition to Ramsay, other speakers include creative business thinking expert Edward de Bono, the shoe repair giant John Timpson and innovation expert Charles Leadbeater. Experts from the East's leading business schools will also be on hand, as well as a host of export specialists who will offer advice on entering and developing business in new markets.

"The day has a clear purpose and focuses on action, not just the airing of issues," said Richard Ellis, EEDA chairman.

"Each element of the programme is geared towards providing companies with the spark of insight, piece of knowledge or idea for a new approach that will lead to opportunities for growth."

The event is scheduled for 17 November. For more information visit www.eeda.org.uk/destinationgrowth.
