If anyone knows a travel agent, would you be able to pass on this website address for me please?
http://www.internetholidaydeals.com
The website lets travel agents add holiday offers to the website, registration is free and travel agents can add a limited number of holiday offers for free.
I want to launch in the new year sometime, and I'm looking for travel agents who will be ready to start putting their holiday offers on the site. Obviously the site wont get loads of visitors to start off with, so in return I may be able to increase the number of offers a travel agent can add as a thank you for helping.
To give others a little more information about the site, I'll explain. As I've said it lets travel agents add their own offers. Visitors will be able to search the holiday offers. I'm going to be building live holiday searches which will search different travel agents websites. Basically, if you visit the website and do a live holiday search, it'll take you to the search results on the travel agents website, the next visitor will be taken to results on another travel agents website, and so on. I'm doing it this way because it's so difficult to make a single search suitable for every travel agents website, because they can be so different. So I'm doing it in a rotation manner, like banners.
I'm placing banner adds on the site, as well as links to tour operators, accommodation only providers, flight providers, holiday insurance and car hire.
I'm hopefully going to be arranging for companies who provide a service to travel agents to advertise in the travel agent admin section where they add their offers.
If I can get visitors to the website, I know it'll work.
Someone is probably going to mention teletextholidays.co.uk, yes I know, but having worked in the travel industry I know that they charge around £3 per call and £3.75 per click, which can be expensive, especially for the smaller travel agents. My site will be on a subscription basis if a travel agents wants more offers than the free account provides.
I;m in the process of speaking to a holiday search provider to see if I can resell their live holiday searches, if I can then I'm going to allow travel agents to create a mini site, basically a white label product which has the live holiday search, but also any offers the travel agents have on my site. It'll be alot cheaper than getting a website built.
If anyone has any questions or comments I'd be pleased to hear them.
The site that I have up at the minute is just a holiding page really, I'm still putting the final bits in place on the development side of things.
I've got absolutely thousands of hotel details so I'll be putting them on the site in a bid to improve rankings on google.
