I have set up a LTD company and need to open a business bank account.
I do however have a poor personal credit rating and have already been turned down for an account by "The Royal Bank of Scotland".
Does anybody know of any banks who specialise in dealing with directors of LTD companies in my situation or advise me on my approach to the bank as I am not applying for any credit and am not a bankruptcy.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I will post a reply to your thread for the benefit of the forum and post my comment here and not to an email address that you dictate.
If you have a poor credit rating then there is probably someone out there that has had to fight to get money out of you. I would be weary of a compan run by someone in this situation.
It suggests pdon123, that someone you dealt with previously really was "pdon" (peed on)

Yes, because everybody that has a poor credit rating has so due to them all being theiving b*stards, and you should never trust anyone who has ever had any financial difficulty regardless of when this was or the circumstances that surround it!
What a rediculous assumption, grow up!

pdon, ignore the pathetic judgement by interact!!
the advice i was given was to try my own bank where my personal account was held. i did this with (barclays) and got an account straight away.
However, I know that NatWest can help you out if you've got a poor credit rating. there have been previous posts on this so if you do a search on poor credit you should find some detailed answers
Good luck!

This is specifically for INTERACT!!!!
I really feel sorry for uneducated people! And clearly you are uneducated, uninformed and a little dense infact, to post such a ridiculous judgement! I suggest perhaps you stop making over all comments of your opinion without researching them.
FYI I run a Company and do have a "personal" bad credit problem, caused by ill health! I was working hard one minute, owned my own rather lovely house, and car, horses etc. The next I was in hospital for months, unable to walk, being carted round on wheels! I felt so ill I could not think. I could not work, spending 1 year on full pay, 6 months on half pay and then SSP and benefit. This obviously alludes people like you but SSP is £14.05 per day x 5 not 7. Incap is around £60-70 per week! Could you afford everything on this, I doubt it. As a result I lost my beautiful home (contrary to belief morgages are not covered!) watched my children cry as we sold furniture and animals!
Part of the reason I started my Company was to help people in a similar predicament! Of which there are many!!!!!! I do hope the current and predicted down turn does not effect you negatively, and that you keep your health.
In a blink of an eye, life can change, the very foundations on which we build, can colapse in a second, and all we believe can be blasted in to the time and space of the future, that gives us the knowledge to feel empathy, and understand we can not walk in any one elses shoes.
