Hi
I had an online account with Bank of Scotland for my business account only to get home the other day to find they are introducing a £15 month fee instead of the old 57p per cheque written fee unless I maintain a balance of over £5000.
I wish I could maintain a balance of £50!
I am looking for a bank that will allow me to do all my banking online, pay in using a deposit point as someone else goes to the bank for me and doesn't have time to queue.
Dont want credit facilities. Dont want to pay a fee. The Bank of Scotland account was ideal as I never write cheques - just transfer money to a different account and pay cash & Cheques in.
Any suggestions and honest reviews gratefully appreciated.

We switched from BOS - we got fed up with their (inaccurately named) 'relationship managers' - the personnel changed so often I wondered if the place was run by Rafael Benitez!
We went to LloydsTSB and, although their online banking website is just about the worst system ever invented, you get used to its many imperfections and it is nice to have one of those old-fashioned people called 'bank managers' just up the road in one of those old-fashioned buildings called 'branches'!
They do free banking for new customers I think and you can pay money in without having to queue using a special bag they provide.

I have the perfect bank for you...well not perfect but it has everything you need...ABBEY has free business banking for life.
I moved my business form Barclays to ABBEY due to the charges for cheques etc.
Abbey do all the banking online, you can only pay in via a cash point not over the counter.(i found this strange the
first time but after that it takes 2mins to do and it saves all the hassle of queuing up.)
This is what you get

100 cheque deposits per month FREE forever
100 cash and cheque withdrawals per month FREE forever
£3,000 in cash deposited per month FREE forever
and more.....
No bank is perfect but after doing my math’s using Barclays wanted to start charging me to deposit my own money etc I would have been crazy not to move. With all new businesses, every penny you can save will help.
