Some of the UK’s top female entrepreneurs will be speaking at the British Library next week in the latest of its Inspiring Entrepreneurs events.
Those attending the Mothers of Invention event will hear the story of how Sam Roddick, daughter of the late Body Shop founder Anita, started her ‘erotic emporium, Coco De Mer.
Also speaking at the event is Lorraine Heggessey, the first female controller of BBC1, Sian Sutherland, British Female Innovator of the Year 2006, Jessica Huie, founder of the fastest growing ethnic greetings card company ColorBlind Cards and Debbie Reynolds, the hard of hearing single mum who set up School of Sign Language.
The speakers will also be taking questions from the audience in the Q&A session chaired by BBC news presenter Mishal Husain.
The event takes place on Monday 17 March at 6.15pm followed by a networking reception until 9pm. Tickets are available from the British Library’s online box office, by phone on 01937 546546, or in person by asking at the Information Desk at St Pancras.
