I'd be wary of 0870 numbers. Have you heard of the 'say no to 0870' campaign which has been on the television and radio.

My company has been using an 0870 number for the last year and it does not seem to have effected my business in anyway. I personally think it will depend on your set up and what you are using the number for. If you are offering a professional service B2B I think you will be ok.
In my opinion its premium rate numbers that need looking at, not non geographical numbers like 0870

I'm not sure that any 0870 will divert calls to a mobile directly. Usually you have to divert them to a landline which can then be diverted to a MOBILE.
With www.smartnumber.co.uk, you dont get any revenue BUT you do get many other services that make up for that.
Basically you need to know what you want really. What are you going to use the numbers for? If the footfall of calls is low then revenue is probably the last thing on your mind.
If you did want revenue then this guy is the man.

Our free 0870 numbers route to any telephone, mobile or otherwise, anywhere.
But I too would generally advise against 0870 for ordinary telephony mainly because customers hate them but also because Ofcom are removing the revenue share in 12 month's time so they will become chargeable.
