Most UK service providers charge you by the minute for all incoming calls received on 0845 numbers, as well as a quarterly charge. We do not charge you to receive calls. ** If you currently have an 08** number, you can save money by porting to us. ** Your callers pay BT local call rate from anywhere in the UK. Ie it's cheaper for callers outside your local area and perceived as a customer friendly approach by your callers. ** You can use the number in your publicity/business cards etc to significantly enhance the perception of your business. ** You are not perceived as tied to a local area by your local code ** Your existing number remains, so you don't need to re-advertise your new number to existing contacts, and you can choose which number to give to whom. ** You can move the number with you if you change office location ** You can have more than one 08** number routed to just one phone line. E.g. you could have one 0845 number routed to line A as your voice line, and a second 0845 number routed to the same line A as your fax line. ** The number is unique to you. ** Children at/going to university? Consider one for your home to save on their phone calls to Mum! ** Alternatively, you can have an 0870 (National call rate) number. On these numbers, callers pay UK National Rate wherever they are in the UK. Each call generates an income for you of at least 1p/minute subject to volume. This may be worth considering if you receive a large number of calls. ** There is no need to sign up any agreement as there is either no charge (in the case of 0845) or the supplier will pay you for the 0870 minutes as above subject to volume ** We can allocate a number to you straight off our list-and you can be operational within four working days on request if necessary. ** You can also have an 0800 number, calls free to your callers from anywhere in the UK. Can I choose my numbers e.g. to have an easy to remember number? A. Yes-at a price! Please let us know your requirement and we will quote you a price Q. Can I choose where my numbers connect to? Very specifically - simply email to us the number you want calls to go to - even by Department!! 0845 Numbers are ideal for DDI Ranges! Q. Who is providing this service? A.Our associate company is a professional telephony Brokerage company who specialise in all aspects of telecommunications. We work hard together to create initiatives which are different and add value which we believe we have achieved with our Non-Geographic Services. Whatever you need in telecommunications - we can help with voice, mobile, data or internet access. Q. Can you connect to another non-geographic number? A. We regret that it is not possible to connect an 0845 number to another non-geographic number (e.g. A Mobile). Q. How do you manage to provide this service at no cost per minute when BT and other providers charge? A. When a caller calls your non-geographic number, our suppliers carry the call for much of its journey, therefore BT pay us part of the call cost. Q. What if I move offices or home? A. If you move, we can simply re-direct your non-geographic number(s) to your new address, anywhere in the UK. The cost for this re-direction is currently £35+VAT per number. We cannot change the termination number within the first 30 days after connection. Q. What if I have more than one office? A. We can supply you with sequential numbers if you have a number of business lines and faxes. You may also wish to have different numbers for each office in your company. An added advantage is, that you can communicate between offices and pay reduced rates. Q. Do I need new telephone equipment installing? A. No, for non-geographic numbers, you need no new equipment. Q. Does this affect my current telephone number? A. No, your calls are received as normal, the only difference being, the caller dials your non-geographic number which is routed to your existing telephone line. A non-geographic number will not stop you from receiving calls on your previous "standard" 01 or 02 PSTN telephone number. Q. I already have an NGN service, can I switch the service to you and keep our existing number? A. Yes. We can "port" your number from BT, Cable & Wireless, and Energis, subject to check at time of application. This will allow you to retain your existing NG number, and the service will work in exactly the same way apart from the removal of the previous charge. The change over is simple and results in no loss of service. You will also save money, of course! Q. When can I start to publicise the number once I have placed my order. A. We strongly recommend that you do not start to advertise your number until it is fully connected and working. You will be advised via email once your number is ready for use.
